Once upon a time in Tower City

A long, long time ago, Mr. Mastery proposed to Mrs. Mastery
on the observation deck of Terminal Tower.

It's now a Mastrey family tradition to go downtown to Tower City every Christmas season.
The Masterys invited the Gorton's and our family to come along and see
the Toy Soldier performance that Tower City has been putting on for twenty years.

The village (or mall in this case) was packed....

so packed, it was hard to see
the great Terminal Tower outside the sky roof.

Leah, Isabella and Janna were so exited to see the Toy Soldier
and it showed on their faces.

The Toy Soldier was as Large and intimidating as expected....

but that didn't stop Annamarie from watching the show.

This is a picture of the Fairy Godmother,
who told of a magical story,

"Frosty the Snowman,"

Raggedy Andy and Raggedy Anne
were as jolly as can be.

The Princess, danced and danced all through the show.

This is a picture of the Hobbit
who told us of a majestic ring and something about a wizard named Gandalf.

Janna, Fairy Godmother, Toy Soldier, Isabella, Me, Annamarie and Leah.
(Ever since she was a little girl, Isabella's dream was to take a picture with the Toy Soldier)
"Your dream came true Isabella. And to think that I was a part of it!"

The buildings were so massive that...

Jonathan, a plain peasant boy, had to get a picture.

The Key Bank building

The Cleveland square was so big that
the plain peasant boy and the girls got lost.
Scared and afraid, they were stopped by a hairy gnome
and told to follow the gray brick road to find their way.

Terminal Tower

...still following...

On our way back, Annamarie and I sidetracked a little.

Me, Hannah, Annamarie, Isabella and Leah...safely home

So we happened upon magical characters like the princess, the hobbit
and yes, even the gnome who showed us the way.
Mom even got some got some Christmas shopping done!
So all in all it was a pretty good day.

Before the movie

Janna decided to dress up for the Chronicles of Narnia
movie we were going to see at midnight with friends.

She told Allison, Jonathan and Micah people were dressing up,
so I guess they thought they should too.

Jonathan wanted to go as Mark Wahlberg
in the movie The Perfect Storm.

Allison wanted to go as Elizabeth
from Pride & Prejudice.

Micah wanted to go as a terrorist.

This says, "We're weird... and that works for us".

"for Narnia"

Just teasing Janna. We didn't actually leave the house
dressed like that. She did though. :o)

The weather outside is frightful!

The view from Mom and Dad's window

 An uninvited guest

Poor Penny

Poor Frosty

Underneath the snow are three steps to our kitchen door.

"Mom, where did the picnic table go?"

lol And here are the two spotlights that were shining on our front door.

That's all folks! Stay warm!
